阿根廷美洲杯夺冠后，恩佐在社媒平台直播了球队高唱种族歧视歌曲引发舆论风波，球员在公开致歉后正接受切尔西俱乐部的内部调查。
切尔西LGBT球迷组织Chelsea Pride也公开发声谴责阿根廷男足的种族主义行为，并表示：“作为俱乐部官方认可的LGBTQ+球迷团体，坚定地致力于营造平等、多样和包容的环境，我们的使命远不给予LGBTQ+群体支持，我们支持每个人，坚定不移地捍卫所有边缘群体的权利。”
