阿斯的文章写道：
为了加盟皇马，姆巴佩接受了减薪近一半，他在皇马的年薪为税后1500万欧元，和阿拉巴、贝林厄姆并列队内第一。但薪水是一方面，姆巴佩的真正收入又是另一方面。
首先，姆巴佩这次以自由身加盟皇马获得了一笔巨额签字费（根据之前的报道不低于1亿欧），这笔钱将在他五年合同期内按比例分配。
其次，皇马会根据姆巴佩接下去的的个人表现（如获得金球奖、金靴奖等），为他发放专项奖金。
第三，姆巴佩保留了80%肖像权，考虑到在姆巴佩还未在皇马亮相时，印有他名字的球衣就已热销，这也将给他带来不菲的收入。
第四：有了皇马这样一个影响更为深远的展示平台，姆巴佩的个人广告收入会大增。
